ASCET 6

ASCET 6 is an ETAS software tool for the development of automotive control software. It is the predecessor of ASCET-DEVELOPER.

Originally, ASCET was for abbreviation of *A*dvanced *S*imulation and *C*ontrol *E*ngineering *T*ool. ASCET has been used successfully since 1997, particularly in the development of safety-sensitive software for brake and steering systems as well as engine management systems. Since then ASCET developed software can be found in millions of ECUs.

The ASCET product family enables model-based development of application software and automatic code generation from these models. ASCET has been especially developed to meet specific automotive requirements to embedded software with real-time, efficiency and safety restrictions.

From the initial component design with block diagrams and state machines to the automatic generation of code for microcontroller target, ASCET components seamlessly fit the processes.

EHANDBOOK support for ASCET 6

EHANDBOOK Container-Build tools support generating interactive models for ECU functions developed in ASCET 6.

  • When using the EHANDBOOK Container-Build tool-Chain, ASCET 6 models can be used as specification models for the algorithmic behavior of individual ASAM MDX-based ECU functions or AUTOSAR (Classic) software components.

  • Besides this, ETAS has developed customized add-ons for various customers to directly generate EHANDBOOK Containers from ASCET 6.
