What is the effort to set up and operate EHANDBOOK Container-Build?

For a new customer project, the setup effort for the EHANDBOOK Container-Build tool-chain depends primarily on the size and complexity of the ECU software project.

EHB-CB is typically set up in parallel to the ECU software build process and processes similar source artifacts, for example models (ASCET or Simulink), C-Code, and interface/label specifications (for example AUTOSAR-based descriptions or list-based metadata).

In practice, initial setup can range from a few days or weeks up to about 2 to 3 months, depending on scope, maturity of input data, and required level of automation. ETAS supports this setup phase with EHANDBOOK experts.

After the setup is completed, the overhead for generating an EHANDBOOK Container is typically limited to running the build. This can be executed manually or fully integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
